Samil 50 (MK1) 4×4

Personnel Carrier

The Samil 50 is the most popular 4×4 truck in Southern Africa, and it remains the SANDF’s primary off-road logistic vehicle. It is a true load carrier and carries a payload of around 6T. The Mk1 is powered by the Deutz V6 engine whilst the Mk2 is powered by the ADE352T. When operating 6×6 or 8×6 trucks there will always be a need for smaller support vehicles and the Samil 50 is usually the 4×4 truck of choice. As a Personnel Carrier it can transport 40 persons.
